| RAB10

RAB10 belongs to the RAS superfamily of small GTPases. RAB proteins localize to exocytic and endocytic compartments and regulate intracellular vesicle trafficking.As a member of the RAS oncogene family, RAB10 has been shown to participate in the insulin-stimulated translocation of glucose transporter type 4 (GLUT4) in adipocytes, basement membrane secretion, and the formation and maintenance of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It regulates the transport of TLR4 which is important for innate immune responses. Besides, RAB10 is potently activated under autophagy-stimulating conditions, such as nutrient deprivation or mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibition.
